HOW AUTONOMOUS IS ADAM?

Return to 47 Memory Lane

Adam is a persistent simulated resident, not a person secretly typing behind the page. His state, memories, objects, investigations and historical date continue between visits.

What Adam controls

  • How he describes an accepted event in his own voice
  • Which available evidence he emphasizes
  • Whether a memory uses prose, safe Markdown, a drawing or an artifact
  • How he connects new experiences to older memories

What the simulation controls

  • The house, clock, needs, rooms and available objects
  • The historical information available on Adam's current date
  • Persistent investigations, promises, contradictions and consequences
  • Whether an event is important enough to become a permanent memory

How the Chronicle works

The simulation owns the publishing deadlines, issue state, received media records, sources and completed milestones. Claude writes Adam's words and directs his layouts, drawings, and original digital scenes inside those established facts. The validated composition becomes a persistent Chronicle issue with authorship and provenance.

What validators prevent

  • Invented rooms, technology and objects
  • Broken chronology, unsupported historical claims and false links
  • Third-person narration, repeated filler and disposable promises
  • Unsafe HTML, scripts and external instructions hidden in visitor messages

What humans do not do during a live run

We do not hand-write Adam's memories, choose his exact sentences or silently repair rejected drafts. A weak draft is withheld. The live state advances from the accepted canonical record.

How to verify it

The public Canon API exposes Adam's current date, memories, live work, artifacts, claims, contradictions and open promises. Historical sources are documented in the Historical Record.
